What are tasks, or data to query, do you want for Muse, Grok Bot, Instinct, etc, where you’d be excited to _passively_ pay a penny, 10c, $1, for the task/data to be high quality and low latency?
For me, I’d pay to have perfect places data. I still get recommended closed places.
To be fair though the it’s hard to trust the numbers. I’ve always had a suspicion about threads. The platform, while technically competing with x, has always felt dead. Threads feels like a platform where most of the users were tricked into downloading it through IG. It’s too early to tell how muse is doing.
Just successfully had Grok Bot ask Muse to make a phone call, all securely over Tailscale.
Would anyone else want this tool I built for myself to let all my different agents talk to each other? Right now have it talking to Grok Bot, Instinct, Muse, Codex, Claude Code, Hermes and OpenClaw.

the most lucrative thing about grok bot is how fast it answers me AND i have no idea which model is exactly running so it feels way more like magic my dopamine goes brrr when using it
my hermes bot takes 3591735 turns and thinking and bs and mcp and whatever tf it does..
In Europe, the contrast between using an agent (e.g. Grok Bot, Instinct, Muse) vs. using the web is nightmarishly stark.
By the time I'm done fumbling approving cookie banners and the browser trying to translate parts of the page, my agent has entirely solved the task. Must fix.
*sigh* ok 3 issues with @bot that prevent me from using it as a main personal agent
⬖ i keep texting it about something in a channel, but it keeps texting me back about decisions and permissions in our 1:1 chat. the entire point of me creating channels is for the 100% of the conversation to stay there
⬖ it seems like 1 bot can be busy only with ONE thing. which sucks. i dont want to create 138941893 bots. i want to create 134891893 threads tho and all of them to be worked on in parallel (hermes does this, 1 thread = 1 session)
⬖ it FORCES cursor cloud agents so much which i don't like, i have my own setup, i keep telling it to use it, it keeps spinning cloud agents
as someone who got crazy this year about self hosting and data ownership and blah blah blah ...

like idk what's the glue/sauce of this thing but it has something special. and it's fast af and im ACTUALLY getting shit done (not coding, personal life things)
the Grok @Bot desktop app just got even faster! we shipped 53 perf fixes over the past few days:
• reconnecting after a flaky connection: 60s → 0.7s
• waking your laptop: 23s → 1s
• switching back to a bot's Computer view: 868ms → 27ms
• opening a chat with a long code block: 954ms → 228ms
• the Media tab no longer re-downloads every time: 137MB → 0.7MB
plus smoother sidebar animations, no more jumpy screenshot-heavy chats, and much lower memory usage while idle.

i asked my hermes bot to book me a simple charging brick and it took 30 mins of looping tool calls for whatever the fuck reason
meanwhile i got frustrated and set up grok bot from scratch added connectors etc etc logged in to amazon and it did it + finished 3 other tasks 💀

If you haven't tried using cloud cursor agents inside Grok Bot, now is by far the best time to do it
Choose a project you want to work on, connect your github, ask a grok bot to do work on it
It will spin up Cursor cloud agents and write code in the cloud. Lightning fast and incredibly smart
I recommend using a project management tools like Linear or Notion to make a bunch of tasks first, then have cloud agents just tear through them all 1 by 1.
You'll get a massive amount of work done without much oversight.

the reason muse is going giga rn is because Zuck *finally* made agents easy enough for normies:
1. the technical setup is handled for you.
the AI, its computer, its browser and the infrastructure to keep it running are included (it’s literally openclaw ripped off under the hood).
you can start asking for help without choosing a model provider or figuring out where to host anything.
2. connecting your life is straightforward.
you can ask it to “connect my gmail” and just follow the permission prompts.
facebook, instagram, threads and marketplace connect automatically through your meta account.
3. it feels like someone you can text.
you give it a name, customize its little character and decide how it talks.
the interface feels like a messaging app. that cozy, personal feeling makes asking it for help feel natural.
4. it helps you figure out what to use it for.
this is my favorite detail: meta’s early testers didn’t know where to start because muse could do so much.
so they added onboarding tips, personalized suggestions and an ideas tab.
the agent helps you discover useful things to delegate based on your conversations and goals.
5. you can leave and let it work.
it remembers context, keeps working after you close the app and comes back with updates. ongoing tasks have a place where you can check their progress.
6. and perhaps most importantly, it’s free.
most people need a pretty good reason to commit to a grok bot subscription, or any other AI subscription.
muse lets them discover the value before making that decision. there are usage limits, but removing the upfront payment decision matters.
free + easy helped social media become a daily habit for billions of people. so i think meta sees a similar opportunity.
if muse helps people find things on marketplace, interact with businesses and coordinate their lives, it makes the network meta already owns more useful
that gives meta a reason to subsidize access because even someone who never pays for muse could become more active in the rest of the ecosystem.
My “armchair” thoughts on the personal agent race:
1. Muse is poised to become the leader. The app is intuitive, and Meta is aggressively promoting it across all its properties. Once you use the Muse app, you realize that it makes little sense for an agent to live in an existing messaging app like iMessage. Unless Meta runs out of compute or something, I think this will become the company’s most successful homegrown app after Facebook. It will be much bigger than Threads.
2. ChatGPT is probably still the personal agent leader because it already has 1B+ users. OpenAI’s models, computer use, and voice are arguably better than Muse feature by feature. But it’s hard to build one product for both work and personal use, and harder still to serve enterprises and consumers with the same UX. Even for work, I started using Grok Bot because the Work/Codex split remains too confusing. I’m sure the team is cooking, and we’ll see something good in the next few weeks.
3. Grok Bot isn’t really a Muse competitor because it’s focused on work. Multiple bots naturally fit team-based knowledge work IMO. My bull case for Grok Bot is that it's a few features away from becoming multiplayer agentic Slack for both bots and humans.
4. Google is obviously the dark horse candidate. All these personal agents live off Gmail, Google Calendar, and your Google app's data. Google has their own personal agent in Spark but the last I checked it's a secondary tab in Gemini. I think Google needs to be far more aggressive in making Spark the primary experience and making it intuitive and competitive with Muse. Google however doesn't have a great track record in multiplayer AI...
5. Speaking of multiplayer, nobody has figured this out yet. I can’t easily add my spouse to a Muse chat to plan a vacation. I also can’t loop coworkers into ChatGPT or Grok Bot threads. Multiplayer AI today mostly means tagging bots in Slack. Every major provider is probably working on this, and I think it will be the next big unlock.
My personal AI stack right now is Muse for personal, Grok Bot for cloud tasks, Claude for specific use cases, and ChatGPT for everything else.
But I think we’re going to see some major updates this week.
Everyone should design their personal skills and files so they’re easy to port between harnesses and agents. Otherwise, you’ll spend half your time moving from one tool to another.
