True I think you have the real economic effects of AI companies sucking up entire industries now (a lot where indie hackers operate) I do think the SaaSpocalypse is at least partly real So indie hackers are pivoting toward content, audience and distribution to find some moat, essentially becoming influencers That translates into more flash in the pan type apps and it will feel more superficial But that's just indie hackers responding to market economics, they're trying to survive and maneuver, and you can't really blame them if you see the forces they're up against (trillions of dollars of BigTech and BigAI companies disrupting their markets! Which is good btw) A regular boring but non-superficial SaaS app would do well 5 years ago but now it might not get anyone to sign up because it's so easy to vibe code by tens of thousands of other people So the distinguishing element becomes personality kinda!
