Cline was the second most popular coding agent at a friend's company (after Claude Code). The company has contracts with the Pentagon, so they had to drop Claude Code and move everything to Codex. They wanted to standardize everyone and migrate Cline users as well. They couldn't. Apparently, Cline has one of the most committed fan bases in the AI community. Once you go Cline, you never go back.
