We need better nomenclature for "open" models. Open-weights AI is not the same as open-source AI. Open weights = you can download the parameters and run inference. Open source = weights + training code + training data + evals + a license that lets you rebuild, modify, and redistribute without permission. True open source means a competent team could rebuild your model from scratch without you.
