My model of this is that there was already a preference cascade in motion, as in I had a section in the weekly called 'preference cascade at OpenAI,' in the wake up HF and Pacing and An Alien Mind and Astra-2 etc. Coxon got to provide the tipping point.

It’s so interesting to me what narratives break through, and when, and why. Folks at and around the labs have been warning about AI risk for years. Constantly. Relentlessly.
