It’s easy to get bearholed when you’re always reading other people’s opinions and their opinions are based on the price action of the day. A year ago it was nearly consensus that AI would never be better at coding than an engineer. At this stage improvements in coding models are priced in, so brainstorming what would unlock another leg of demand, ideally consumer. It feels like -infinite memory/context -hyper-natural language -ultra low latency -voice/video You want to see a story for AI becoming integral to people’s personal lives, in the same way smartphones are now. This was kinda the original scifi story when ChatGPT first came out. Something that feels like the movie Her is the closest I can think of. I still believe the best edge in catching the next leg is playing with all the new things coming out. When something stands out, start building positions before everyone else. That’s what I plan to keep doing.
