I got a Z Fold 8 so I could prep our apps for the Duo. Incredible hardware! Android is so unbelievably awful that I cannot comprehend how people use it. The biggest issue is app reliability. I’ve been trying to set up 1Pass for 20 minutes. When I scan the QR code, the reticle turns green and then freezes. Nothing happens. Every time. I found a bug report in the 1pass forums about this from 2022. Four years ago. The official response from Samsung was to make sure Google Play Services were updated. I would talk about all the bugs in the phone setup, but I don’t think it would fit in character limits. All I’ll say is that I had to reboot the phone 3 times to get out of hard locks at the Google sign in screen. I legit have no idea how anyone tolerates this godforsaken platform. Believe it or not, this has been slightly better than my Pixel experience! Typed on my iPhone because I still can’t sign into apps on my Fold.
