today is @tim_cook's last day as the CEO of @Apple after a historic 15 years under his leadership, apple's market value ballooned from ~$350B in 2011 to over $4T John Ternus (Senior VP of Hardware Engineering) is succeeding him he's been at apple for 25 years and previously led the engineering teams behind the iphone, ipad, and mac - and the transition to apple silicon john will spearhead his first major product launch event on sep 9th - more to come!
