I don’t think you can effectively turn memory “off” with either Fable or Astra running locally. They write little notes about you in various markdown files, they can look at other work to get a sense of what you are doing, etc. Aside from the other implications, it makes it hard to compare your outputs to others, your outputs are always contaminated with what the AI assumes are your perceived preferences.
