I do see a remarkable amount of 'RELAX, this AI risk thing is overblown, I can't see a specific path of how it would literally kill every human, why do you not want to keep building it?' going around recently.

"Killing every last human" is very hard. "Overthrowing humanity such that it never recovers and dies out after a while" is enormously easier, and all that's needed.
