Scientists have used @RadicalNumerics' models to generate a genome from scratch: a virus that had never existed in nature, was harmless to humans, but was entirely new to the world. CEO Eric Nguyen (@exnx) believes the ability to do this reveals an inherent risk: the same capability that can create life can manipulate it. He intends to build both sides at once: the biology that improves health and the defenses against what happens when someone else builds the same thing with worse intentions.
