AI Operating Systems Beyond Chat Interfaces

we’re seeing the importance of ai having its own computer. by computer, we dont mean its own gaming pc, or its own macbook, mac mini, aws server. but its own place to live and to operate. we were living in stage 1: ai living in its own context of whatever u feed it. like chatgpt, just text convos. stage 2: could have been cursor and claude cowork, where it has access to a designated folder/ecosystem. now we’re at stage 3: your entire computer. file systems, multiple folders, the web, social media (which is infinitely large) leading to infinite possibilities. at @zocomputer, we were anticipating a stage 3 at the very beginning, thats why we created our world. most people are in stage 1, but the gatekeeping is crazy for these new stage 3-esque products. its too complicated, and honestly too scary to set up for those who aren’t always going to updated with the latest tech, and aren’t technical. but we believe everyone should have their own ai with its own computer, and help their lives. you, you coworker, your sibling, your mom. here are a few things everyone can set up today for your daily life. first, ask yourself. - what things take up most of your time? - what things do you dread doing on your phone/laptop? - what are one of your goals this week? - what do you forget a lot? - what do you feel “behind” in? these are my answers for solidarity: 1. for me, its scrolling on social media. finding new things to make, but also keeping up with a bunch of stuff. 2. i dread responding to emails and texts honestly. i overthink a lot. 3. my goal is to wake up earlier 4. i forget to follow up on plans and see who i need to make plans with, or things that i want to explore. 5. honestly, i feel behind in how much i should post. i just have too many ideas, and with one, 5 more come up, resulting in decision fatigue. ok thanks for oversharing i guess. moving on. then just ask/type the prompt: “this is my problem. can you create an automation to help me with it?” heres what it came up with for me, simplified here so that anyone can use it. 1. curated content digest (instead of endless scrolling) prompt: every morning, send me the top 5 trending posts from my niche on twitter and tiktok so i don't have to scroll for an hour 2. draft replies for texts & emails prompt: check my gmail and draft responses to anything that needs a reply. keep it casual and friendly, send a text message to me for approval. 3. morning wake-up accountability text prompt: text me at 7am every day with my calendar schedule and one reason to get out of bed 4. friend follow-up reminders prompt: every sunday, remind me which friends i haven't talked to in 2+ months and suggest a simple message to send them 5. content idea organizer + decision maker prompt: help me pick ONE idea from my notes and whats going viral rn to post this week based on what's trending and what i haven't done recently try them out for a week, and see how you feel @zocomputer
