The Case for More Early Stage Investors in AI Era

Some say there’s too many seed funds / solo GPs and it’s all going to end. Does the world need more investors? Yes - and here’s the argument: AI will let more types of people build software products. This means more companies, which means they will need investment. But I bet the supply of startups will vastly outpace the number of check writers to back them. Imagine if there’s 100x more startups. Will existing VCs just write 100x more checks? Doubt it. Maybe 2-3x more, and maybe another set will be bootstrapped. But the 10-20x remainder will need many many more investors to support them in the early years This is a great thing! More startups and more products and more tech and more investors 😎
