OpenAI, Anth, and Google are all leaning heavily into bio. I know people are skeptical about results in this area, and I understand why, but I honestly believe that if you are reading this, there is a non-trivial chance that (if you want to) you will live for a very long time.

there will be within the next few years stunning advances in biology. there will whole new ways to think about what biological study even means. i would be only mildly surprised if there were near term solutions to problems like cancer, neurodegenerative disease, etc
