I'd be interested in a poll of mathematicians on this. I've seen a presumption of mathematical consensus in favor of OpenAI's pause but few mathematicians were consulted in this decision. This was OAI's choice. Some loud critics on the internet didn't make them do anything. https://t.co/LUwDR11fJn
