One of the most concerning signs for me when investing in a founder is if they do not know the history of their space. You need to know who has tried this before? What approach did they take? Why did it not work? What did they do that they should not have done? What did they not do that they should have done? Bonus: Speak to the people and learn first hand from their experiences.
