You never really know how news like this is going to land. The response over the last 24 hours has been overwhelming. Thank you for the messages, the stories, and the kind words about how Starter Story impacted you. It might take me a month to read them all. When you’re in the day-to-day, you forget to zoom out and see how many people were part of the journey. I underestimated that. THANK YOU.

I flew out to NYC to film the biggest YouTube video of my life 😠I can't wait to share it with you.
i talk to many $1M+ founders and this is almost always the biggest bottleneck in their biz right now: VIDEO CONTENT. specifically: – what actually works on platforms – how to make videos that convert – who or how to hire (or not get burned by) – how to script + shoot + edit + produce consistently i just got off the phone with a buddy who said: "i’d happily pay someone $30k/month to just handle this." and honestly… there wasn't anyone i could think of to refer him to. video is hard. and that’s why it’s a huge opportunity rn.
"Distribution" is NOT your competitive advantage. Your competitive advantage is, was, and will always be your own CONFIDENCE. Confidence to see the project through, actually ship it, do everything necessary to get it in front of as many people as possible, not quit too early, know when to hang it up, etc etc etc. Distribution is merely a byproduct of founder confidence. This is just something I've noticed after interviewing 1000s.
It brings me immense joy to see starter story guests 4x their business after going on our show. Not because I believe starter story did that for them. But because it proves we’re getting better at spotting the right people early. builders with real fundamentals. people who were going to win anyway.
This product does $80M+ MRR per month. > no GUI > not in the cloud > doesn't even use Tailwind Just sayin'
I rarely go on podcasts anymore. But when @thesamparr invites you to his house... you make an exception. Can you guess what we talked about?

Marc Lou ships faster than anyone I think. What I think would be cool would be a starter story episode about how @marclou ships + creates content every day. Like specifically how he plans/structures his days, how he chooses what to work on, and how he uses AI tools right now,

I'm trying to put together a list of all the distribution "channels" that work in 2026: 1. Organic Short Form 2. Niche Communities (Reddit, Discord, FB Groups) 3. ASO (App Store & Platform) 4. Personal Brand 5. UGC 6. Influencers 7. Engineering As Marketing (Free Tools) 8. SEO & AIO (incl. programmatic) 9. X & LinkedIn 10. Viral Video Launches 11. Organic Long Form (YouTube) 12. Cold Email & Outreach 13. Salespeople 14. Paid Ads 15. Affiliate 16. Feedback/Customer Calls 17. Timing & Trends 18. Positioning 19. Open Source What am I missing?
