We never add up interview scores and make a hiring decision. Every interviewer comes into the debrief with a decision - yes or no. Then we discuss it. Rubrics produce average decisions. Humans with skin in the outcome produce far better ones. The debrief is by far the most important part of the process, as it also trains everyone's intuition about what good looks like.
