Okay I kind of get the gpt-5.X-codex hype now. You need to treat Opus and gpt-5.3-codex really differently and use them for quite different tasks to get the best out of both of them. I was treating gpt like opus and that doesn't work.
Cloudflare has workflows, Convex has workflows, now Vercel has workflows. New kinds of platforms are consolidating server-side compute and storage. This is because backend engineering is about to get squashed and abstracted away.
You don't need a query planner for OLTP. Claude is your new query planner. Codex is your new query planner. And you can audit, test, and revision control the plan. And it won't change randomly in production. Just use code. (Just use convex.)
