hey @claudeai, recent update to claude desktop app auto updates // restarts the app intermittently causing all my remote sessions to trip out and be ended (not great) ide like to use desktop app vs terminal for CC but this is making it very annoying. please fix! more info from my own claude about this: the desktop app's nightly auto update is killing my overnight agent workflows. what happens: the updater (squirrel/shipit) silently swaps the app bundle and relaunches it around midnight. the claude code sessions themselves survive fine, but every remote control pairing to my phone dies, and there is no way to re-pair except opening the desktop app and reconnecting each session by hand the next morning. it's happened two nights in a row now (1.34493.0 then 1.34493.1, updates ship almost nightly) and there is no auto update toggle anywhere to opt out. ask: either make remote control pairings survive an app restart, or give us a "defer updates" setting. right now the workaround is chowning the app bundle to root so the updater can't touch it, which is silly. final note: i do not want to use cloud sessions for most things which is why this matters for me, and prefer controlling sessions based on my local machine with RC.
