We joke about people being wrappers on Claude / Codex But, we are in a fascinating time where an individual can: (1) 10x+ their output; or (2) cut 90% of their effort via basic AI use I know engineers in companies that AI has not fully permeated who do a week's work in 5 hours
There's a dude at my company who's gone full Claude Coworker. He uses live suggestions of what to say on calls from his ai notetaker (I see the reflection in his glasses) and all of his work comes from Claude. All messages sent on Slack, docs, emails, all from Claude, all unchecked by him (easy to tell). Scarcely an single original thought or contribution... When this first started late last year I got frustrated with the quality of the work and wrote a formal letter to management. Nothing changed, and as things progressed Claude got smarter, and it actually surpassed the ability of this coworker. It's now smarter than he is/could be, and because of that it no longer bothers me. I have a Claude Coworker, and it's better than the guys it's using to copy paste things. Wild time in the workplace man.
