Most conferences have a big vendor hall and talks about what the host company is launching. You're there as a buyer whether you wanted to be or not. We wanted Abstract to feel like Strange Loop. Everyone had something to say, but nobody was just there to sell. The only thing we wished it'd do for @convex was probably make some attendees think "these seem like thoughtful people; maybe I should look at what they're up to."
