A bit late, but my takeaway from the Airtable acquisition isn’t that it burned too much money. Based on reported numbers, it raised $1.36B, still has roughly $965M in cash, and may have generated around $1.8B in lifetime revenue. The lesson I’m taking: raise what you can deploy well, at a valuation you have a credible path to grow into.
