people often give tim cook a lot of shit about innovation esp post jobs, but apple silicon may be the most consequential thing apple has done under his tenure. it completely changed the day to day experience of using a computer for so many ppl & reestablished apple as an absurdly overpowered engineering company at the core. that particular bit feels way more woz than jobs. also airpods + apple watch were absolute break throughs in both tech & culture.
