there are roughly zero moats in the new era of software & the sooner you accept that fact the sooner you’ll come upon & figure out the things that actually matter when building. you see like even 5 years ago merely being able to build a competent product was scarce. engineering talent was scarce, distribution was fragmented, incumbents were slow, & software took years to replicate. that created room for thousands of companies whose fundamental advantage was sometimes just we built the god damn…
