X Long-Form Links: The 2025 Writing Platform Arbitrage

If this works, and sticks as a feature, this will have a very big impact on where to write in 2026+ Something I talk about often is how, once every 2-5 years, a new writing platform and/or feature emerges that presents an arbitrage opportunity to distribute your writing. In 2022, it was LinkedIn. In 2024, it was Substack Notes. In 2025, I’ve viewed X long-form & LinkedIn Carousels as tied. Both solid. But if this new link feature works, and stays, X is going to be number 1 by a long shot, and for a sustained period of time.
